two things come to mind, seeing that SK3500 pic.. a) will it come with complete LR demo boom b) how hard will it be to turn it into a nice Kobelco lattice boom crane, since it shares the undercarriage and most of the uppperstructure... and i also hope they make a Nabekai version in company colours... if not, i´ll do

caucasianaasian wrote:Trust Christian to mention turning it into a crane, lol I figured it would be either him or Bob...of course with a color change to black and red no black! only red, yellow, green and blue... with grey undercarriage and white-orange boom! or a Uchimiya Version would also look great... the base model is just too tempting not to make a crane out of it. Kobelco seems to have started a model offensive... lots of new stuff from them in the last few months, even if its different scales. maybe they willl go on and make a large crawler crane. ok it would probably be too much to ask them for a SL13000 800-Tonner, but a nice 7000-series machine would be welcome

@ Christian,
Do you remember a couple of 15 years ago there were 2 city cranes announced which never came out? I remember a Kato SS-500 and a Komatsu ? For about 150 Dutch guilders.
That's a very long period of time compared to the time "we" are waiting for the LG1750.
€ 735,-???? Again much overpriced.
Regards Randy

I still don't understand how you can compare the carbody size at all. The carbody isn't even visible in the picture. Brian Are we talking about the 3500? Because you can clearly see the top and sides of the carbody. And compare it to surrounding models.

Maybe it's just me (I hope not), but the cab of the SK3500 looks to be maybe half the size of the 1:50 scale Hitachi Zaxis 170W to it's direct left. Please use this before clicking "post"??? You may be surprised with what you see!

I think you are referring to the house or upperstructure. The carbody is the frame the swing bearing sits on and is what holds the track frames. In other words, it's the big black piece between the track frames. Brian
