I wonder if you could put the NZG tires onto the 797F.

You can easily " de-shine " tyres by giving them a light dusting of Talcum powder, use a small ( 1/2" ) paint brush Regards Joe.

Gavin84w wrote:Does anybody else think there is an issue with the dogbone on the 785? it looks like it missed being attached to the chassis and is just sitting on top of the diff. Can't say much about that as I'm too much of a 'green horn' but I would like to stat that in my opinion, the rims/wheels are too big diameter wise. It will not put me off buying several of these however. As for the 797F.....well that's a no-brainer! I've always taken fine grit sand paper in the past but will try this tip out. Chris

Yeh, that is certainly how it looks Ross.
I have learned over the years how to set up Cat truck suspensions pretty well and i do it all by eye now and the dogbone is a key factor in determining the ride height by eye, sometimes you just gotta work with what you got and your eye and memory can be pretty handy sometimes!!

Thanks for posting those pics Chris!. I've rarely felt so "green"(jealous)!!. Are the tyres "rubber" like the T282b? Looks like the long dark winter we have here won't be so bad after all.... P.S if anyone else gets this monster(797F) please post some pics too

Thanks Leonhard, every picture is welcome!. Can anyone tell me if they've arrived or are available in the UK yet?. I ask because it seems as if they're now arriving in both America and Europe.

That's an easy Mod for that model, The Exhaust pipe's turn into the Box. I Have picture's of this if I can find them. Hey GAV, Some trucks with VIMS Payloader, You have to Gas them up to a certian pressure (You already know this) The 785 pictured has the Payloader disconnected The 785 Model, I would pull the step's off, Extend the Bonnet out, Look like BANKS 785's .. NICE

Hey guys I've read in a few places that the engine compartment "opens" to reveal engine detail can any of you lucky owners shed any light on this? I thought maybe the top deck opens up or something? cheers anyway Matt.

I'm definiatly going to put high sides on the 785 as that's how RA's truck's are. Now all we need is the new 777F and this time, with the right tires! The D's tires are terrible!

Got a 777 with OHS kit fitted off ebay for a small sum, They look right. The 785 above has a different Box on than the model, Strange how the old 785 has a very simmilar Box?

Well, since they're now hitting the shop shelves I ordered my one this morning but my UK dealer says they're due with him in January 09 so I hope that doesn't make you feel too bad either Rowan!. To be honest though I'm just grateful to be getting what looks to be such a fantastic model .

Yeah I think it would look better. That's a B, so naturally it would have a older style box. I think I know the kit your talking about. I wonder, can you just buy the OHS tires, or do you have to buy that whole kit?

Unless someone wants to split up a kit from OHS that they already have, the answer would most likely be no. OHS went bankrupt last year, while still owing a few like myself a fair bit of money for models and kits that were never delivered.

Brian Thanks Brian. If you want my opinion, that's probably half the reason why ohs went under. He ticked off to many people.
