Great pictures! I must admit, I never realised how big the 992 was either. The 994 is just down right impressive from any angle!

That wheel chock in the background looks a bit small.........I would think you would have something the size of a steel Adirondack chair to wedge under the tire.

Ha I was about to say the same thing.. I have a hard time believing that wheel chock would hold the weight of that beast.

Jeddo Coal just bought a rebuilt 992D, one of my classmates at school told me last week. It is going together this week at their shop. His dad actually is the one that sold it to them. I think it is the first 992D to go to work in the area's stripmines.

Yeah mine regulation's ... Mandatory to have the Wheel's chocked. You would be surprised how well they work even on the huge 994 tire's.

No chance of the machine moving unless you wanted propel.

Probably was to replace one of their old 992's; he's got about 3 of them. Two C's if I remember and then a real old 992 which is dismantled for parts, my guess is that's what the D is replacing.
