I did manage to get some work done with the 30 but most of the site where just stareing at the crawler going together so not much work was done by anyone Teeth

Only on main boom and superlift for this lift but i believe 18 trailers where used to get the big girl there.

As for hireing out transport, we have no wagon/trailer combination that can move the 85t the car body and superstructure weigh, we did look into buying one but it was agreed it would be for more cost effective to hire in as alot of the contracts for the crawlers are long term. We only have 4 at the moment with a few more on the way, a wagon solely for the carriage of the crawler cars would not be that busy.

Now for the really good news....i'm working the weekend de-rigging it, i'll try not to get too excited as things can change last minute but at the moment i'll be there.

Thanks Gaz, I wouldn't claim to be an Ainscough expert(!) but I was pretty sure that I hadn't seen an Ainscough combination truck of that GVW and wondered if that was the reason for Somerscales.

85 tonnes just for the carbody!.

Scania V8. The best sounding truck in the world.

All the parts on the superstructure are counted in the 56.8t, there just stamped individually in case its broken down more for transport.
