Yeah I saw that the other day alright, wont be buying it though. I wonder does this mean that things aren't looking good for a conrad factory version?

I've bought 2 custom models of Ricky, the 1st was a LTM1300 in Ainscough livery and it was 1st class, a absolute gem of a repaint and looks amazing. The second was a LTR1100 in McNallys livery and it was exactly the opposite, paint just sprayed over every thing and nothing fitting, hoist drums painted over and not turning, a poor effort. So 1 amazing one and one terrible one....thats 50/50 odds!

1:1 or 1:50, I am still in awe.

I think what noel is trying to say is there wont be a factory version of the Mcnallys model made by conrad it will be only available as a one off repaint by ricky.

Thanks Paul thats exactly what I meant. I will probably repaint one myself at some stage, at least the quality of the end result would be in my own hands and it'd cost a lot less too.

Ricky's sent me a PM asking about the repaint of the McNallys LTR, want's me to send him pictures of what is wrong.....I will do him the good grace of sending them to him but not posting them on the forum. I will now say this, automatically people see the negative and ignore the positive, yes the McNallys LTR was a but poor but the 'Ainscough' LTM1300/1 I got of him was amazing, and I mean as good as any Factory paint job, I fact much better as it has a little more personal touch, the black sliding surface of the tele section (really adds a lot to a model) and little things like the side lights painted on. The warning chevron's and decals were flawless, it was reassembled with no hint that it had been taken apart at all! A very, and I mean VERY good model and if your a fan of the Ainscough livery I would say a must for any collector who has not the time or the skill to repaint yourself. So, don't let my issue with the McNallys LTR sway your decision to buy a LG1750, cos if its half as good as the LTM1300 I got off him it will be of high quality, as good as any factory paint job, and well worth the money to have a unique model that will be very rare. Here is my LTM1300, it is every bit as good as it looks. Gaz

thats the thing that gets me though,Ricky has,can and still does produce some amazing pieces of work, but sadly there has been the ones that have slipped under his QC radar,it just puzzles me as to how one can turn out so bad amongst others of such a great standard, its not like its out of his hands, just put the shoe on the other foot, you wouldn't just "slap" a custom together and pass it off,the fact that this can happen as proved by a number of unfortunate collectors who paid around double for the customs,is a gamble I will not take anytime soon
Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Great pictures Mogs, need some dedicated help to come put it together with you? . Whytes have one on order and word is it is not to far away at all. The 1st LG1750 to be based in the UK permanently. A good looking livery Whytes is too. Gaz

Very nice pictures. Almost smell the paint!
Gaz - Whytes is a great livery but I wonder how many times their machine will be seen by the 'public'?
