Love to have that Western Star. Hope they do some more North American Trucks. WSI does a great job.

I have a DVD of one of Mammoet's moves going to the Oil Sands, and in a .lot of places they had six tractors on the move rig. This might be a smaller tank on this move, but I am sure going to look into a couple of extra tractors if they are going to be available. I bought the A Smith, Savage Autoclaver move rig when it first came out and the push tractors were not available. I made the case for it and then they brought out the four push tractors. I did not buy them because they would not fit in the display case. Not going to make an enclosed case for thiks Mammoet rig. Its going on an open shelf.

Hopefully this could be followed by trucks with an US style lowboy? That would be music to my ears. Proballly gonna pass on the full set up however.

Yeah an 'AED' is in order. I love those KWs and would take a couple but oh my how I want one or a few of those Western Stars! Hopefully a blank white version for each of the trucks will be available. In spite of doing other liveries and making $$$ off of the names involved, the blank white editions would still likely bring all the more $$$ to WSI.......WSI?  Chris

A question for the Mammoet aficionados out there; I read somewhere that this model was based on a move undertaken in Canada a few years ago. To those in the know is this model based on the 413 kg coke drum moved 775 km from Edmonton to Fort McKay, Alberta for the Canadian Natural Resources Horizon Project? I definitely must have one of these and would like to establish the history behind the model. Thank you in anticipation. Cheers, Chris

Chris Somebody correct me if I am wrong... But I think that sounds about right! As a side note, If these trucks were available in White, in particular, the western stars, it would also make for the "non-official" Canadian Mammoet livery of its parent company here in Canada; ETARCO... Which was later ETARCO Mammoet.... All would be needed is some minor custom work and decals. Once again, great looking model. Id love to see a pic of the trailers as well. Greg

The model was made from a load delivered in 2008 according to the website of Obele http://www.heavytransport.nl/(click on Mammoet archives, then scroll and click a Coker 1 move 2008) But the real thing needs 4 Kw C-500 and one Western Star 4900SX to get his destination. The model look really good and it will be nice sitting right beside my Sterling CC8800!!! Real Canadian RiG!!!!! I got the size of it... 5.9 feet long 7.9 inches wide 8.9 inches high I got the place... now just need to find the money  ... Happy that I didn't sell my Mammoet trucks
