The Belaz website says they are sending a 75603, not the 75601, though I must say that I cannot find the spec differeneces (if any) between the two.

best regards klaus Hi Klaus, 'Sorry to hear you're not coming to MINExpo, but thanks for commenting on this post. I have seen press releases on different sites stating 75601 and 75603, but there is no information of 75603 (or even 75602) on their websites. I see they are planning on putting a 450mt truck into service next year and expect that they will have a prototypical scale model on display. I remember at a bauma long ago when they showed a scale model of of a proposed articulated truck of 320 or 350mt when the standard was still around 220mt. Wayne; Whatever is out there, I will photograph it! It's going to be big and will have the option to actually run and operate the dump bed being outside. Please use this before clicking "post"??? You may be surprised with what you see!

How did the fleet of Belaz trucks that went to Australia do? I remember when they were shipped down and assembled but I never heard anything after that.

Cracking pics Bryce as usual.
No point going as the pics are often better than the event.
Not feeling the CAT vibe. That L2350 is ugly and probably won't make it into the display hall.
Some real real big iron going in there.

bryce, Thanks for the additional photos! Don't forget to e-mail me next week as time is getting short now. At first I was unconvinced that this "loading unit" would really be there, but the story is coming together somewhat now. How and where do you hide a 1400 ton machine? It may be simpler than you think! I'm starting to believe in it. My understanding is that the erection of the second unit is going well, so maybe it was an opportunity to actually show the hybrid aspect of it to the public before retiring or re-building the prototype. Please use this before clicking "post"??? You may be surprised with what you see!

You may want to check with your source, because the second machine you mention is news to the guys who are at the mine site putting together the new undercarriage for the machine that will be operating up here after the show.

Rowan. But Rowan, it's just waaay easier to speak in fuzzy details that just show that they know a bit more than the rest! But eventually someone from the usual group will have to get more specific to one-up the other. But in about a week (or less) the everyday public will know. - C

Thanks for the additional dump truck photos Bryce, it's very much appreciated.
I really like the look of the orange Hitachi ones.

It was the joke at work about the Texas trip. "The loader won't make it off the assembly line as a Klenz Valve will jam and dump all the air" Also don't wash the thing or it's down for 12 hours.

Here is a photo that was sent to me today. The EMD SD70ACe is inside with the other CAT products. Would have liked to see how that loco was brought into the building.

I was just about to ask, where is the EMD power? Awesome! Hope to ride in one of them one day, was just in an EMD last night, so much more comfortable than the GE's but they're so obnoxiously loud.

I guess I'm missing something here. Why exactly is there a train locomotive on display at Mine Expo?

That's a nice preview pic Gary, Thanks for that.
Want a 9, Cat wants to showcase that they now offer equipment for everything from pioneering a mine site, right on through to moving the finished product to the customer.....basically speaking. That, and the fact that there are actually quite a few mining companies that run their own railways.
