Congrats, and good luck on your new job. I really appreciate the fact that Tonkin cares about us collectors, and are taking care of us. Can't wait to see what the new models are.

Good for you Luc, Congratulations!! Is that means you gonna have your word on what machines get built in 1/50 and wich ones does'nt? Future certainly looks bright for you!!Good luck. * * * * * In my case, even if whatever models Tonkin has to offer does'nt have C.C.M.'s detail level, that's fine with me.I don't collect things that are so fragile that i even get scared to look at tham by fear to damage them!!! Max.
Cat 245.....Now and Forever I am looking for industrial auction brochures from Ritchie Bros, Miller & Miller, Forke Bros, First Team Auction, Max Rouse, etc from the 70's, 80's and 90's.I am a collector and heavy equipment enthusiast and these pamphlets are loaded with nice pictures of cleaned and freshly painted equipment.Thet don't have much value once the sale is over but they are a great help to me in preserving the memory of machines that are no longer being built. Please, help my hobby by looking in your old storage boxes and file folders for these old auction sale brochures.Your help is much appreciated.

Congratulations on the new job!! I can't wait to see what's in the works. I've recently been adding quite a few Tonkin truck models to my collection, and I've been really pleased so far with them!

What is a bit disturbing to me about Tonkin is that their website is so outdated as early as 2006. Surely there should be some updates at least about the new Cat agreement.
I like the quality of the Tonkin truck range but am not interested in them because of the odd 1/53 scale. I wonder what are they going to do with their 1/53 truck range in comparison to a 1/50 scale Cat range - change the truck range to 1/50 too? Or do you guys think the 1/53 scale trucks will blend in with the 1/50 scale Cat models.
As far as their 1/64 and 1/87 scale truck series are concerned they don't have any construction related stuff which I have noticed which will compliment the said scales compared to same scale Cat models they will be producing.
It will be very interesting to see what happens in the next few months regarding the aformentioned
Dolph.

Thats great Luc that you have landed a dream job like that!! Hope it goes well. Some of us have learned to discern between good and bad so as far as Norscot goes if you can produce models to the standard of the D10t theres nothing wrong with that, however the Caterpillar Club models in the 1/50 Historic series are nowhere near the fine detail of the D10t , they are very disappointing. So there you have two opposites to compare, both good and bad from the same company.
