Yeah, that is a shame. Hopefully it will be repairable.
When I first heard it, I thought the whole crane went over, boom and all. Glad to see that wasn't the case.

That's a real pity to see her over on her side. Hopefully not a lot of damage caused.
I know of 3 cranes here in Ireland that have been rolled over on windfarms in the last 12 months because of poor ground conditions, won't name them on here though.
Do Liebherr recommend moving this crane with the crane superstructure still attached? I've seen photos of other LG's being moved with it still attached and it looks like an accident waiting to happen, very top heavy looking.

I'm working with Vesta's at the moment with our LG1550 and as you can imagine this is all the talk. The machine is only out as a LG1550 so it's looking like we are going to go do the turbine it was ment to do, as for picking it up! Well it could not have happened in a worse place, there is nowhere to rig a crane up to right it, never a mind a crane large enough to manage the weight of the 750, somewhere in the region of 150t. Then you got to imagine how your going to right it, lift it with 1 crane pivoting on the wheels of the 750 the building the ground up underneath or with 2 cranes lifting it clear of the peat bog and then upending it! Then you got to think of the suction the bog is going to have, not a easy thing to allow for given the immense size and weight of the 750. It is not going to be a easy fix, be prepared for at the least 1 if not 2 large machines there, after of course they have built 1or2 crane pads for them to sit on. Shame to see it like this but apart from a shaken up driver no injuries just a bit of bent metal that really will not be that bad, least it landed on something soft , back cab has cropped it, lots of bent walkways but as a whole I should imagine it will not be down for long. Our LG1550 to much more of a 'hit' and was down for 6 months. One thing for sure I'd hate to be the guy who's got to jet wash it!!!!! Gaz
