Google and Wikipedia are your friend. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M54_%28truck%29M52 and M62 are all variants of the M39 which is described under the M54 Wikipedia listing. Short answer: Rushed into production by International Harvester in 1951, soon Kaiser (renamed Kaiser-Jeep in 1963) also became a major manufacturer[a], with Diamond T and Mack building smaller numbers. Here is a Wikipedia link to a more complete list of vehicles (and links): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._military_vehicles_by_model_number#Pre_consecutive_tractor_numbers

The bid for phase two went off today. The low bid was Conti at $152.5 mil. Well below the $2.15 mil estimate.

I haven't worked for Conti since the SNJ Light Rail but they were good to work for. Who was second Harms or PKF? We rally round the family, with a pocket full of shells.....

You also have several shots of Conforti Specialized Hauling with the large Peterbilt and a Rogers moving a small Cat excavator mounted drill rig. I even recognized one of the individuals in a Conforti shot.
Thank you for keeping us posted.

Thank you for keeping us posted. Conforti has been moving the drill rigs around the site. There are two drills on site, they should be leaving soon. If I'm there when they move I'll try to get some more pictures. I have a few more pictures I'll upload when I get a chance in the next day or two.

Then I saw some emails about flooding problems and only being able to use one crew and machine.

Thanks for the update. Looks like Abbo got some new excavators. Google earth updated the street view around the job and saw this stake truck with a platform on top of it at the laydown, I guess it was used for the bridge demolition.

Yes, JPC was using it to do some bridge demo work. It was there for a couple of weeks back in the summer. JPC was doing the demo for PKF, I was also told that JPC is doing the bridge decks.

Nice pics keep them coming, drove by the site this Saturday PKF was busy moving barriers on I-76 with some Volvo Excavators. They where still working into the night as I was coming back over to PA. Google Maps also updated street view around the job from late last year, and you can see lots of progress.

NJ Surveyor, Do the guys working on the power lines have anything to do with the project? They have one truck set up on 130 going toward Brooklawn if you look left, there's also a Deere, maybe an 75 or 85 with it as well and 2 or more trucks set up if you look toward the right going the same direction.

No, they are running new wires for PSE&G. We're waiting for them to finish so we can drive some sheet piles to continue a 60" storm run.
