I am absolutely amazed with the weathering on your models they are all amazing. The Van Wellen paver stands out particularly for me. The way the tar glistens on the hopper and even onto the body works is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your masterpieces. Take care and all the best.

OAF, your work looks more realistic than the real thing!!!!! I'd rather not to imagine the amount of hours you put in weathering your models, that must be insane..... It even gets to the point where theire are peoples taking pictures of the machines in your diorama(the folk taking shots of the Euclid) I am amazed!! Max.
Cat 245.....Now and Forever  I am looking for industrial auction brochures from Ritchie Bros, Miller & Miller, Forke Bros, First Team Auction, Max Rouse, etc from the 70's, 80's and 90's.I am a collector and heavy equipment enthusiast and these pamphlets are loaded with nice pictures of cleaned and freshly painted equipment.Thet don't have much value once the sale is over but they are a great help to me in preserving the memory of machines that are no longer being built.Please, help my hobby by looking in your old storage boxes and file folders for these old auction sale brochures.Your help is much appreciated.

That is great weathering, and the dioramas is great, I can actually smell the salt air and old grease on the machines.

Fish plating on the boom right before the eyes that keep the pins in for the stick would look great on those 30+ old machines with the weathering. There has to be stress cracks somewhere on those oldies.

OAF: These pictures are way over the top. Your weathering is beyond belief. You should win one of the DHS awards in abstensia. The your photography makes the whole thing look so real. About how long does it take to weather one of the bigger pieces? CAW

Sehr schon! I know alot of you guys like to keep things in boxes and on shelves, tucked away for posterity. To me this is honest to goodness art. I hope to some day take my austere collection and weather it and place it in various dioramas in a glass case. I'll probably never make it happen but one can dream, right?!  In the mean time, this soothes the soul... Bug
