Well there went 6 hours yesterday watching all episodes back to back. I must say Now I know what is going on for the master plan which I think is a fitting tribute to all and has balance to remember the past and look forward into the future without being defeat by the events that took place. While no one wanted anything like this to happen it is nice to see the positives aspects of tragedy. Look at the creative minds that came together to create the different aspects of the over all project. In these very though economic times look at all the trades that have had steady work with the new construction that will continue for at least a few more years. Not to mention the pride that is going in all aspects of the site. Many workers have a very vested part of giving 110% for very personal reasons to cut zero corners. I bet there isn't much chance of contractors cutting corners on this site.... It is amazing what we can build when failure isn't an option and still do it the right way.
One side question on the crane signaling. I notice a few of the signalers having a yellow voice box to communicate with the crane. How does that work? Is It voice activated or does it have push to talk button. Fritz

^^ Most likely it is push activated, just like a traditional radio. the 18000 is completely gone, and also the AC500

The ac500 mats look like they are gone now. Here is a timelapse, all photos. I don't remember the exact amount of pictures but each photo was sped up 2x, then saved, and then sped up 2.4x again. I think it is 3,000+ photos. Here it is. Timelapse
And here are some of the 18000

I had seen the truck pulling something on cam, I couldn't tell what it was due to the image quality. For a second I thought they might still be transporting 18000 pieces out, but thats unrealistic. So it is good to know the 16000 is coming in. My Photostream

wow, the 888 looks so small next to the 16000, amazes me how they can erect the crane in such a small space

Passed by there on Friday, havent been here since the end of August just because nothing machine related has been going on, but now the 16k is here. On Friday, the 16000 will be making a 200,000+ pound pick. Maybe during this week ill get some pics of the 16000. The first photo, I just missed the jib tip.

The job was to be all done with 4100 W's the slow foundation work was why the 16000 and 18000 were used . We still have lotsa 18000 parts in South Plainfield . John

John I was there when they were hauling the MAX-ER counter weights out on Harris trucks, and 2 drivers told me that they were taking it to Harris' yard. Was it just the Max-er parts that went to South Plainfield? because im pretty sure Lomma owns the 18000.
