Beautiful! One of the best things I've seen on here. Congratulations on finding a buyer.

Words cannot say enough.I noticed the 'climbing' ladder on the mast how you rearranged them from the way it arrives. Thanks Bob.

SDBOB,

Just a small dab of super glue on the inside of each rung.

When I got my very first TWH 4100W I was somewhat impressed with the detail. But after stripping the paint and repainting my ringer, I realized how much detail is really there. Sure, there is some heavy detail, but being that it is diecast, thats just the way it is. I feel that THW has hit a major home run with the 4100 line. If one wanted to, you could go through and replace all the overly thick detail with brass. It would be a lot of work, but it would really improve the look.

I will be starting a 4100 project in the near future. It is a 4100 mounted crane. Only one was ever made. I have a few pics of it and I am trying to acquire fabrication drawings from Manitowoc for the special carbody.

Bobm2004, I live on the west side of Detroit Michigan. Where do you live?
I wish I was working and didn't have to sell it.
I was thinking of putting it in a small diorama. Maybe something like on a barge setting huge bridge girders.

Born2lift,

Would that be the Laramie 4100W on a drag?

Is this the one:

I found this on a website, which does not exist anymore, but copyright is printed on the picture.

Sounds like a very, very, very interesting project!

Manitowoc, Yep, that's the one. It was a 4100M. It was mounted on a trailer made from Goldhofer wheels and pulled by a huge Mack tractor.

Kerst ,

Yes it belonged to Laramie.. They ended up buying a regular carbody and tracks for it. I believe they sold the trailer.
