Thanks Greasemonkey,

That does make sense. I just didn't think about rail travel of mined material(s) as being something that CAT would get into. I also didn't know that some mines have their own railways. Sounds like a smart business decision to me.

How did they get the SD70ACe into the exhibition hall because I doubt that they built railroad track and there isn't room for a crane.

We're within hours of flight times to MINExpo! I am very much looking forward to this. Great friends, great food, great show...it'll be a, well for lack of a better word, GREAT trip! New products galore to explore. What's everyone looking forward to? For starters, as a P&H fan I'm interested in hearing more about the P&H 4800XPC.

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

4800XPC? Sounds like a Bucyrus 795? And did that lt2350 that Bryce posted a few pics of earlier wear P&H decals?

Rowan.

Joy owns both Letourneau and P&H, but I can't see why a LT loader would feature P&H decals. It could rather features JOY decals instead.

I've already heard what the "boys" are thinking. But I want to hear the official sales pitch. Wink

She has P&H decals on her, and it looks great!

(In my best Rain Man voice...) 3 bottles. Definitely 3 bottles.

I was just about to ask, where is the EMD power? Awesome! Hope to ride in one of them one day, was just in an EMD last night, so much more comfortable than the GE's but they're so obnoxiously loud.

i have been in an ACe once before, they are very nice!!! i prefer being in a GE, i think the are more comfortable, but i would rather have the pulling power of an EMD

that ACe does look pretty interesting but nice in CAT colors.... 2 of my favorite things in 1 picture, trains and cranes Drool

whoever is going, please get some more pictures of that ACe

I was in Milwaukee over the weekend for a wedding and took a little drive past P&H and Bucyrus. You could see the new monster (number two I think) sitting on the assembly pad in the storage yard north of Rawson Ave.

So this is nice, lots of new machines in the works. The 4800XPC, the 2650CX and the new 6120B. Plus Cats new Rock Header and it looks like the new size for haul trucks is going to be 450 tons. 2016 is shaping up to be a good show.

I think the truck size will be a little larger than that based off rated loads being swung from the loading tools. Was talk Komatsu would reinvigorate a loading tool that was touted a few years back also.

I like the EMD because of the footrest! I'm sure that's an option in the GE's but NS doesn't take it!

Have you been seeing a ton of new UP power in Chi-town? I go thru Erie where GE is and to me it looks like UP ordered about 50 or so new units, they've been going west the past week or so.
