Next to the ladder on the undercarriage, there is an upward-opening flap. Does it open? What's in there? I recall on the 1:1 crane there are digital displays of instantaneous loading of each of the 4 outriggers. After seeing your first picture with the compartment door open, I would not be surprised if Chou included little red numbers in there.

John, that opening compartment is for the operation of the outriggers. Go to www.cranesetc.co.uk and watch the video review as it tells all about the crane.
Dain I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!! Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!

My Sarens arrived yesterday with a broken steering linkage. There were also 5 loose parts in the bottom of the foam packing. And I have no idea what they go to.

My Thoemen version arrived with a small part fallen off and two windscreen wipers fallen off. I managed to re-fit the wipers but until yesterday, could not fathom out where the other small part went. My Sarens version arrived in excellent condition with the exception of the same small part. But I found where to put it now and it was an easy fix.
The Sarens version also contained spare wipers and a couple of tiny pins. Guess YCC listen to feedback!

Can you tell me how tall the boom reaches on the LTM1400? I assume about one meter but just want to check. Thanks

That Todano looks like a pretty nice model, Does it come with more than the one hook block?

Hello Paul
Which Counterweight combinations are possible? Only all combinations from 58t to 138t or is it also possible to show the combinations from 7.5t to 58t. As they could be found at page 11 in the Datasheet.

First one is a what I guess can be described as a lightweight fly hook (or transport hook??), second one is the one shown which is a single sheave and the big one is the 8 sheave hook. I wished there had been a 3 or 5 sheave hook block as I think that would be more used in the real world. Speddy wrote:Hello Paul

The central counterweights below the plate are screwed on so in theory could be removed. I am not sure how the wing weights are attached as I have not tried to remove them. I think it is really only designed so used configurations of 58t and above, but I will check into this and let you know for sure. Paul R

Speddy, So I checked and there are 2 screws underneath that come out easily. However, I could not get the CW's to split apart though it looks like they can. I did not want to damage the paint so proceeded no further. I also do not think it would look right as the 1:1 version has a single vertical piece that the CW's slide over and I am not sure how easily the individual CW's would screw back on for the 7.5t - 36t configurations. That's a nice rare little model Paul. Looks quite like Dewsbury and Proud from by me. I like it. Heavy Cranes
