when will the majority of these be available state side? does their release at bauma mean sometime in the next few weeks? or will it be months before i have a new ec460 and ta 230?

Has anyone thought about Ricky and that fact that he hasn't posted anything here in two days? He made it a point to say that he woud give us a "daily report" and did for the first two days, but nothing from him has been posted since then. I surely hope that nothing bad has happened. Are you still there Ricky?

Are you still there Ricky? ..I'm always here, in these two days many collectors have gone to see me and we had the pleasure to know in person .. I have a lot of photos of the fair since I'm here all week, and in the morning (as i'm an exhibitor) I can take pictures of machine without the public around .. but I have not had time to publish yet .. ;) sorry..

Rowan. Yup, it's huge!! I'm not really familiar with Caterpillar machines, but it looks lige the rear has been made longer. Probably for extra counterwight and to make room for additinal power/pumps for the attachment. Anyone who could clear this up?

That's like comparing an F/A-22 Raptor to a F-86 Sabre, yes these are similar, they are both jet-aircraft... That said, the excavator wasn't too bad looking. A rugged machine (looks extremely heavy) for hard work. Nothing fancy with special electronics or anything. It's meant to dig and do just that. The Liebherr R 9100 looks like a spaceship. It's a very advanced looking machine. How it holds up in the field, I have no idea, but in my opinion it's one of the most beautiful machines I've ever seen. Unfortunately there wasn't any documentation about the Eder, but the type on the side was 8150 so I assume it's a 150 tonne machine, perhaps with an 8 cu. m3 bucket. I couldn't find anything through Google either... EDER 8150  Liebherr R 9100 Litronic   Some more of my pics (of which I took far too few, only 289 in total, should have been at least four times this number...). Grove GMK 6400. Beautiful crane!    Weldex Kobelco SL6000 seems like a good and powerful crane. From what I remember it has quite a good lifting chart. Coming to a part in the UK soon I guess...      They also had one of the Japanese models at the stand. Only 50 where made, and none of thse are for sale.

New Holland-Kobelco E245 quadruple boom demolition excavator for an Italian company. No, the tracks can't be widened, it has something to do with the Italian legislation for transporting heavy machinery. We estimated the track width (with those narrow pads, which were also cut of on the outside) to be no more than 2,5 meters / 8 feet. (well, at least MotorArt didn't make that new model up)   Especially for Gaz & Eric, some pics of the Labounty stand.   They had my dream machine on site as well. A Liebherr A 934 C material handler with short stick with bucket linkage and heavy third member shear, a Labounty MSD 2000R-SL to be exact. Unfortunately the machine was tugged in beside a smaller excavator and a few flags...    Some weird-pre-fabricated-components-carrier-thingy... We don't know what it is exactly, but it probably used for lifting heavy concrete pieces. It looks interesting though! Would make a great custom.   Wasn't exactly new judging from the state of the engine...  One of my favourites at the show. The "Raupentransporter" from W. Haddick GmbH & Co. Wonderful machine which looks very useful. Base is a Caterpillar track loader. They reversed the cab (the rear of the loader actually became the nose of the transporter), lengthened the tracks and built a special body. This machine was equipped with a dumpbody, but optional a container lift is also possible.     On a Liebherr PR 732.
