That last set of pictures is really impressive! It's so cool to see some 10N's and 11R's working in a urban zone.

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Gus I'm not sure if you could strip a 793 back enough to get it under 75t to suit the Drake, but I beleive a 785 it's possable to do.

MAN O MAN !!! Love that Mack DM military recovery with Holmes equipment, International S-Line 2000 with sleeper cab and the KW T2000 ballast truck. SA National Defence Force still have 100's of those 6 X 6 Macks in service but completely painted matt brown and fitted with large super single tyres.

Dolph The Aust army have about 950-1000 of those Macks.I think the only one that has gone is the concrete mixer but at the moment there is a tender process in place to replace them .It is down to a selection of Merc.Benz and MAN trucks.I believe Scania and Oshkosh were in the running also. A couple of the twin boom recovery trucks have been refitted with underlift equipment.

Red Yes - I recall now that I also saw some of those Macks in a tractor configuration haul five axle Trabosa tank transport trailers with the two rear axles (of the trailer) steerable. I would not be surprised if this Mack equipment used here were built by Mack in Australia as South Africa is also a right hand drive situation.

The conditions for the Australian Defence Dept to use the Macks was that they have to be built here in Australia in the original contract way back when in 1981(I went there many times as my uncle ran the canteen)....the plant is at Richlands, http://www.macktrucks.com.au/index.cfm?MenuID=272just SW of Brisbane. I think they had more than one of the mixers also... they tipped over very easily.
