Went into the depths of Wales this weekend to a small town called Aberystwyth to do some cabins, one hell of a challenge to get the crane down some of the smallest roads I've ever taken a crane nevermind one the size of my 150. Yesterday I went to see a few friends who where working on the city, one on Ainscoughs CC2800 and one on Bronzeshields LTM1500, got a few good pictures of what was happening. Got a lift back to Bronzeshields yard in the 500's escort van and went for a few pints with my mate. Got some pictures of the machines in there yard, including the new LTM1350 and I'll post them later. Finishing that tower crane I started last week today, get some pictures in a bit and get them up. Gaz

Hi Gaz, Nice set of photos, nice shots of the LTM1500, know what you mean about the roads in and around Aberystwyth my youngest daughter is studying at the uni there, have to go and pick her up several times a year a three hour drive down narrow roads, it's bad enough in a car how do you do it in your crane? mind you at least no one will argue with you Steve.

Today, and for the next 3 weeks or so I'm stripping down and removing the tempory offices for the new Westfeild shopping centre in Stratford. 232 Cabins! Going to be a long few weeks, missing out on rigging the TC2800 on Thursday in Daganham because of this job! Not best amused but got to take the rough with the smooth, TC will have to wait! So 3 weeks of thus means I'll be a bit slow posting in this topic, should get some TC2800 pictures later in the week Gaz

Rather be with the TC though! Tim, ye we just got told to move by the CTRL guys, just gone around the otherside, no permit to rig that close to the CTRL. Doh, the lift supervisor has been throughly bollocked! Yes I took the weights off with the controller. Gaz

Slowly eating away at these cabins. Bit of info for those who like to know the were abouts of our big stuff, come Thursday the Cc2500 is doing the wind turbine in the ford plant at Daganham and the TC2800 is up at Lowasoft on heavy boom, back mast and 300t in the tray so will be a good lift. Gaz

I have to say I have really enjoyed reading through this thread. I used to work a lot with the guys out of your Coventry yard and seeing all these photos has brought the memories flooding back. The bluetooth controller is brilliant. I never realised they were used on such a scale. The shot looking down on your yard from the man basket is especially nice. I bet you wouldnt have risked testing the 'range' if no one had been around on the ground just in case I have to ask...are all the photos taken with the iphone? If so is it the 4? I have one which makes uploading pics to photobucket a dream but its not the latest model and I personally think the photos I get with mine are pretty poor whereas yours are stunning. Thanks Andy How to search the forums

Never been on site to see a turbine go up so looking forward to it. I'll get plenty of pictures and post them soon. Back doing cabins at the olympic park to tomorrow for the weekend then Monday the real good stuff happens . Gaz

Hi gaz, I see you have some large pads under your crane. Is this because there are utility pipes etc underneath or are you working on a site were the contractor demands that a certain size pad goes under the outriggers no matter how large the crane is? Heavy Cranes
