Homer wrote:Thats it, i'm gonna start saving now and make the trip to the next bauma!! Well, you've got three years!! I'm starting to save up as well for the next trip. Hopefully I'll be able to go three days. One to just take photo's, one to collect brochures (and 'stuff') and one to revisit things I missed and get models. Hmm... A € 100 euro's a month for the next 36 months... That's a nice trip and a lot of models!! Bauforum24 was also at the Bauma. A galery of their photo's can be found here: Bauforum24 @ Bauma 2010

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Here are a couple more from my part. Liebherr service van. Virtually identical to the Siku model/toy. We actually went to the Bauma in such a Mercedes Sprinter, although we had seating for 9 persons, and ours was 7 meters (23 feet) long!! Really love that van! No limit, so we went along the Autobahn at about 150 tot 160 (some parts even 170) km/h BTW, no flying because of the Volcano? Perhaps not for airliners, but this Airship from Zeppelin (German Caterpillar dealer) circled the Bauma all day long!! The much discussed Wirtgen SM 4200 Surface Miner. For the paving fans, the Road-Tec SB 25000 Shuttle Buggy. Man, that thing is huge!! They operatie in Holland now as well, so a model of this would be very nice!! I got the Case Bald Eagle as well. Just not up close and personal. We spotted the trainer getting the bird ready for the show while having a nice refreshing 0.5 liter Bavarian beer.

A few from the Volvo stand, both outside and inside. Volvo PL 4608 pipelayer. No elastic wires on this one... Volvo demonstration terrain. Massive Volvo log handler. Volvo's new multi-functional chassis. FMX tipper truck. Very nice indeed, just needs a larger body. But you've gotta love that tough nose! Volvo concept machines. SfinX excavator. Gryphin wheelloader. Centaur ADT. And Fenix paver.

From the Komatsu stand, this Komatsu HM 400 ADT. And from the Caterpillar stand, the Cat 328D LCR tunnel excavator. And Demlone 50 demolition excavator. This is not exactly a Caterpillar machine, but uses a Caterpillar excavator base carrier.
