just got some news about the model, straight from TWH, -the cab door will open -the doors to the engine house will not -the stands to assemble the VPC on will not be made -the 2 big brackets that hold the whole engine house and cab, will not be removable, just like the cc8800 , stick out like a sore thumb in transport -and the parts that will be able to become disassembled will be consistant with our other models, which means it wont be able to break down fully for transport (real bummer for me, going to be working overtime on its video!)

I thought this crane was way late because we were getting more?? Sounds like less to me! I can understand it not being 1:1 comparable for transport, of course who knows, it has not been transported yet. What is the delivery now? January?? Mark

This causes too much drama, shops all over the place trying to get a pre-order sale, ridiculous! They need to sit on these projects until a more reasonable time, like the coke drum from WSI, a well done example. Well I say next Easter, at best, should we make time line raffle tickets?? Mark

Isn't this a bit like saying we're disappointed that the replica 31000's mini refrigerator in the cab won't have a handle on it? Where are the removable ladders on the LTM11200-9.1's? With all the times that I have been to the factory, both inside and outside the fence, I have never even seen the stands. As a matter of fact I have never seen a photo of them online anywhere. I really don't think that they'll be missed or take anything away from the replica. As for the delay, that's just great to me! While I am still on the fence about picking one up (all be it teetering), I would be happy to wait until 2013 if it meant that it would be the perfect. Everybody is over the moon with the quality and detail on the PTC replicas, and since the manufacturing of the 31000 has apparently been moved to the same factory, the newest addition to the TWH lineup should be absolutely spectacular and very well worth the wait! - Chris Now...maybe a nice bagel sandwich and a great bowl of soup from by favorite coffee shop in Manitowoc, say this Saturday, will push me over the "do I get one/do I not get one" fence. I do have 24 hours to kill again... (You know who you are, silent guy in the background with an office in the vicinity. Make it happen. )

My beef with TWH is there piss-poor marketing and extremely premature product anouncements. Mark

True about the personal preference, but the stands have never been seen. "Huge feature". "Main feature". I think they are picturing something all together different. As for the anouncement time, the Norscot guys are all up in arms because they don't find out what is coming until the replicas are ready to ship. I for one like a long lead time. Personal preference again I guess. - Chris
