What is early? July, September? It is a shame none of the large crane models will be out this year. Mark

I thought the SGC120 was still scheduled for this year? I also thought the AC1000 was still scheduled for this year, though whether or not you can call that a large crane compared to the SGC120 or 31000 is debatable I guess! Paul R

from chucks blog Some info we just received from TWH that you should know about regarding delivery of models: - Manitowoc 31000 - TWH Collectibles, in cooperation with Manitowoc Cranes, is finalizing the design of the Manitowoc 31000 concurrent with real machine testing. In addition, TWH has transitioned the 31000 project over to the factory partner that has produced all of the Manitowoc crawler cranes for TWH previously.....also the same factory as the Mammoet PTC model. We are confident that this decision will yield a more quality product once complete, consistent with the detail and accuracy of the tooling model which debuted in March of this year. Current ship date is Q1 of 2012 and further updates will be released if this date will change.

As for the AC1000, if I had to guess, I would think Conrad will not be releasing the model until the 1:1 gets sorted out? Mark

Mark I would be thinking this too Mark,TWH have the collector in mind here, keeping tabs with the real machine and its design mods and changing the model accordingly,I'm sure a collector would be fair peeved if he pays $2000 for a model only to find inaccuracys here and there, like wise with the Conrad AC1000 but perhaps not to the same thorough extend as TWH,be patient peoples I've been playing with my model trains to pass the time,it works
Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

This is going to be a bloody big model,as for the jib dolly, if all that have preordered this monster band together we might just get it,more to the point we DEMAND it,come on everyone lets make a stand, jib dolly or we won't buy,it's worth a chance, who knows, with the thing being that big you really need that dolly to get it in the air or 12 hands,my thoughts,Steve.

Well, without actually being there I don't know how you would get better views of that monster. What a brilliant set of photos and films. Although I haven't ordered the model those who have must be drooling in anticipation!. Thanks Brandon and Ray

Yah should come with options for this model since it is $1800 and pushed back so long. Easily have more time to get it accurate like the real one.

Great set of photos! Thanks a ton! But look at #18, a brand new crane worth all that money and there still has to be an "operator built/supplied" foot rest. Being there is a mini fridge and a desk behind him, I think the engineers could figure out an option for the the feet. - Chris
