It's so sad to not see anymore new crawler crane models being made recently or reviewed ;(. I drove by several older American cranes on my way to work and just wish i have one. Also was hoping for something bigger than the CC8800. Is that pretty much the biggest crawler crane that will ever be modeled?

I think that we will see big crawler models again, but they will likely be serious collectors items only and very expensive. From a business standpoint it doesn't make sense to produce very large scale models in limited quantity, which is why we haven't seen then for a long time.
I'd love to see a large Liebherr crane like the 11350 or 13000.

I saw on ebay a used CC8000 with jib for about $1200. which was actually a good price but didn't have any boxes with it. also it's pretty much impossible now to find the lattice boom extensions nowaday so i didn't get it The biggest crane in my collection currently is the LR1750. I also got 10 extension sets as well as all the accessory attachments. was not cheap at all at around $900+ for everything but reasonably priced i guess. But i was hoping to get something bigger soon. The SGC-120 is probably the biggest next thing at a "reasonable" price of $1800... But it just seems like the days of big cranes models are gone..

No that is not the biggest, WSI did the Mammoet PTC 35 which is incredible as well as the Sarens SGC 120. Both are beasts of models. Sarens in Alberta has the SGC 120 model in their office and it's huge in that big building can't imagine one in my house.

Depends on your definition of a 'big crane'. If you are meaning things like the SGC120 and PTC then I might agree that there might not be anymore made. If you're meaning big crawlers then I think we will see others, but I'd be surprised to see the LR13000 due to sheer size, cost and potential customers. If you are talking mobiles then the biggest are already made. AC700-9, LTM 11200-9.1, LTM 1750-9.1 and according to Cranes Etc, there will be another announcement from IMC later this year. Paul R
