It is a hotly debated model and one I’ve been wanting for years. I had hoped YCC would do it as some parts from the AMK1000-103 could be used. But seems that will not happen now and it would have been hugely expensive.
After seeing the pre production review, I’m waiting to see the production version as there are some small details that don’t seem quite right compared to the current 1:1 version. Maybe they used older photos or something.
With that said, I’m unlikely to buy it. Buying a crane for me means rigging it and displaying it like that. Having a static, non functioning model doesn’t really give me the same enjoyment.

Hi Ian, many thanks for another amazing review of this latest Sarens offering. It is unfortunate that they did not decide to provide some of the other elements of the crane such as the boom, outriggers and counterweights so at least a transport diorama could be displayed. The resin is okay for some of their transport models, but it seems an unfortunate tease to have a crane wholly restricted to a transport configuration. It is a neat experiment, but unfortunately I'll just be sticking with my Sarens YCC LTM 1800 for a historic perspective. I wish the Sarens Shop and IMC all the best in this endeavor.

After a little research, I think this model is based on the machine from around 2011 and not the current one. Differences are small but are there.

Thanks for the review Ian. I love that there is an LTR 1220 model now, it's just too bad Conrad is making it. They are just not at the same level of the other manufacturers.
