Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Here the latest models I have received over the last couple of days. Was hoping 3 more might arrive today but they may come tomorrow.

First up is the Derryhale Scania:

Real one has been seen moving a CAT 385 C without stick, but this is as close as I could get!

Next up is the Donnell and Ellis Scania. PCM has done two previous models using Lion Toys, but this is the first D+E with WSI.

I love this livery!

And the next one is a Volvo 8x4 in the livery of Heanor:

Another great livery IMO Smile

And finally I have left what I consider to be the best 'til last, the Volvo 8x4 in the livery of Chris Bennett. I was really looking forward to this model when it was announced by PCM and I have not been disappointed! It is not perfect but it does look fantastic IMO.

Thanks for looking,

Paul R

Some more great models Paul.
I was tempted with the Heanor and Bennett ones. Maybe after Christmas if I get some money Smiley
I seem to have been distracted by construction models lately.

I was dissapointed though to see the Bennett model has wrong rear mudguards, especially as the 1:1 is quite distinctive.

Nice models Paul . I got the Heanor but I am dissapointed wth it
The number plate on the grille looks to big , the front towing pin is not big enough as the chassie should be extended forwards , the rear mud guards should be the full length of the truck .

Apart from that its not to bad .

The Bennett one is not right also but I think its not to bad .

Is the 375 the Joal one ?????????

I too have received the Chris Bennett & the Heanor. The Chris Bennett is my favourite so far & I can forgive the wheelarches, just need to stick something suitable on the back (I know jeff all about plantShhh ), probably pick up a Terex TA40 dump truck at the NEC on Sunday.

The Heanor I wasn,t going to get as I had a Kavanagh on reserve aswell, so I will either sell in a few months, change the wheel arches (easy to do, but will it loose it's value?) or exhange for the Kavanagh this Sunday.

But what is there now to look forward too with UK WSI heavy haulage? Personally with the new step frame nooteboom's I would like to see a Charles Russell Scania.

Well here are the final models for 2009 and what a year it has been Smile I think it is fitting that my model year should end with a trio of MAN TGX's from LTM.

First up is the Wocken MAN TGX 41.680:

This is another great ballast truck and one that is perhaps under-rated, but I do like the blue colour of this one. And more importantly so does the wife Wink

Next up is the MAN TGX 41.680 with Nooteboom Eurolowloader in the livery of Affolter:

Note must be taken of the accuracy of the tread plate and mudguards

And finally it is the MAN TGX 41.680 with Ballast Trailer in the livery Eisele AG. I have to say that this is one of my favourites in terms of ballast trailer rigs and I can only hope the LTM 11200 is produced to go with it Pray

Thanks again for looking and Merry Christmas to all Teeth

oh man i was really hoping to get that Eisele ballast truck and trailer but its not gonna happen anymore, bums me out.... i wanted it to go with an LTM 11200 in Eisele as well which i think will be produced by NZG which saves me from a repaint if i could actually by it from them instead but that probably wont happen either Confused

Yes it is. Apprently worth a few quid now but as far as I am conerned it just makes a nice load.

Fair comments on the trucks, especially the mud guards as I am sure they could have been done correctly.

I am also hoping to head to the NEC.

As for UK haulage, it will be interesting to see what comes about.
