The new Cat 993K loader was introduced to the press yesterday at the Aurora Illinois plant. Eric Orlemann was on hand as always and took some realy fantastic shots. Here are a couple that I reduced, courtesy of Eric. I Realy like this machine, it justs looks like a brute.

What an animal, will it replace the 992 or just something in between the 992 and 994.

That´s an awesome machine. I love it. But it looks a little naked on the back side. Should have some decals there.

The 993K field follow units did very well by all accounts. The C-32 V-12 ACERT engine is doing super. Basic specs here,

This is considerably bigger then the Komatsu WA800 and WA900.It looks like it might be aimed right at the LeTournea L950 based on the hp alone

Thanks for the pic's. It's about time they put it into production. We've had one here at a local mine for some time. It's like, what would you get if you put a 992G, 992D, and a 994 together... A 993K Elements from each of those a clearly visable. The 92G is a great, world class machine. But its about time they fixed it, that mono boom.... But I can't complain, the company I work for has made a fortune installing updates to that G model bucket and boom. Kinda funny how they've had such problems out of the mono boom on the 92G, but nearly as many out of the 88G. They are not exactly the same, but close enuff. I guess that old saying "Size matters" applys.

JD544, it's whats coming in the future that will aim up at a larger size Let that i find interesting. Even though HP is similar to the 950 this machine is a step above the 950 and overall the plans for Cat,s loader line in the bigger machines is being forged for the future with this 993filling the large gap to the 994
