Found what I believe is a 973D, shame its such a small picture.

Also found these 3 PDF files that outline the safety features of the 973D

I thought the 973 was going to stay a C series for a little while longer. Does anyone else know if this is true?

Nope -- that's a 963D.

Cat.com says that they are a 973C, so why did Norscot use D?

Norscot made a 963D, NOT a 973!

The CAT 973D is scheduled for release in November of 2008. Basically it will have new features, increased HP and a new Engine w/Acert Technology. It will basically look like a 963D beefed up on Steroids. I sure hope that Norscot will plan to release this model in 1:50.

Nice photos xbl003x,

The teeth on that 973 look kinda weird with how the two on the ends are really close to each other like that.

Are those photos at the G&R Bensalem dealership? Any photos of new excavators there as well? I didn't know (with a guard and all) they would let people go in and just walk around looking at the equipment, coolCool

Jim

Thanks for sharing the pictures with us! I would also like to know which G&R yard those machines are in? I can't wait to see how they compare to the C's. I'm guessing Myers or H&K will be the first to grab those up?

Hey Bryan,

Good to see you around again! I can say that it won't be Myers, from what I've heard we won't be buying ANY new equipment this yearWhatever I'm pretty sure J&K still works for that other company you mentionedWink It looks like there is a bit of new iron in that yard though. More pics?

Jim
