you know what im surpised about, condsidering they are moving such large machines, im surprised their tractors dont have a posable 3rd axle. most heavy hauling companies around here have a tri axle tractor

All the lowboys ive seen in nz theyare only tamdem drive.They sometimes hook another semi in front for when they shift generators,transformers for the power stations.

We tend not to have a third axle because most of the time they don,t get to move such large machines heavy hallage in NZ most of the time is a 30 or 40 ton machine , so the need for a third axel is minimal but in saying that there are mor of the line haul trucks coming out with three driving axels of late ! as well as I would imagine $ are the main reason for it more rubber wearing out equals more $
