I saw that on the heavy equipment forum a couple months ago. You would think that working is salt water would do harm for all the U/C. Did anyone happen to metion what it was used for? Thanks for sharing

Great pics, that sure is a unique machine! That variable counterweight is really impressive as is the way that the boom is connected to the lower section of the scissor lift. I am also curious what it is used for? Surely it's not big enough to be a channel dredger? Perhaps it is used to create room for new piers? Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

The boom looks like it could be alittle short when full raised. That is a cool machine never seen anything like it. I also was wondering on the salt water and the under carriage. It must get a nice bath after it goes out to play in teh water. Jason NIkl Scale Models

So what does the operator do about bathroom breaks? Especially if their are people around on the beach or docks? Sorry, I had to ask. That is a cool machine though.

I would hate to see what would happen to that machine when it gets stuck in the soft bottom of the sea bed or even mud. Better yet....Hydraulic hose breaks or track motor blown while out in the ocean. That would suck!!!

Well that sucks. Granted its probably pretty hard not seeing what your working on, but that EX1200 is something else.

I hope the operator was OK. Looks like the cab is under water.
On edit, I ran the bauforum page through Google translater, and it seems the operator was OK
The machine stayed submerged for 7 weeks and looks like scrap iron.
