I have just returned from a holiday in Venice. I saw a lot of machines and equipment which may be of interest. To start off, here is a Ruston Bucyrus machine at St Marks Square.

A similar set up elsewhere on the island.

I'll post some other stuff later today.

I lived in Venice for 6 months in 1990. What a beautiful magnificent city. Did you get to see any of the sea wall construction...or what about those tower cranes off in the distance?
Always lot of 'old skool' stuff in Italy like that crane on the barge. Cool shots!

I went on a boat trip to Burano (famous for its coloured glassware) and saw another of these barges for wood piling. I also saw the Liebherr pictured below, along with some other stuff which I'll post later.

More to follow.

Only an addict can go to a beautiful city like Venice and take shots of the equipment Wink

I was in Venice last summer and apart from the blazing heat, it was a great trip. Some of the equipment you saw was there then. There was also quite a lot of building work going on outside the city.

I've been to Venice twice and photographed all the architecture before!

My sentiments exactly - I got some tourist photos while I was there but I got a pic of an old Bucyrus too - possibly the same one!

Here are some more of another barge and another Liebherr machine.

I have a few more of dock cranes and some other bits which I'll put up later.
