Here they are, the Tosho built in 1995 and her sister the Gosho that was built in 2000. They were both built by Sumitomo Heavy Industries for Kojimagumi, a large Japanese dredging company. They both swing 200 cubic meter (261 cubic yard) hydraulic clam buckets that weigh 370 tons empty. They also have 136 cubic meter 400 ton buckets for heavy digging. The bucket hangs on a hydraulically operate counterweight balanced lifting / lowering system, patented by Kojimagumi but very similar to what was used on some old stripping shovels. They also have a nifty traveling spud setup. The specs. are very similar to each other with the Gosho having slightly more modern components. Length (o.a.) ... 100.0 m Breadth (mld.) ... 36.0 m Depth (mld.) ... 6.0 m Draft (mld.) ... 3.6 m Main generator, diesel driven ... 3 sets -2,400 kW, AC 3,300V Aux.Generator, diesel driven ... 1 set -135 kW, AC 450V Dredging capacity: Max.dredging capacity ... 6,000 m3/h Hoisting capacity ... 690 t Dredging depth ... 30 m Hoisting speed ... 46~66 m / min. Lowering speed ... 66 m / min. Slewing radius ... 31 m Slewing speed ... 0.6 rpm The Tosho The Tosho, sorry about the small picture. It is the only one I can find with the bucket open. The Gosho and the Tosho working together. Nice deck plan

wow its a big machine, looks like a walking dragline except its on a barge, it comes with a clam bucket and a little smaller than a walking drag line.
