Here are a couple of new models I got yesterday.

First up, the Faun ATF 100-5. Very cool model, and one that has been on my wishlist for about 3 years.
Here two photo's of the jib attached.

Second, an On-site concrete mixer. This type (with an engine/generator upfront) is a common sight here on jobsites where drilling rigs are operating. Wheelloaders equipped with special buckets drive between the crane and mixer for loading concrete for the in-situ piles. This model has to be modified with a special frame so a wheelloader equipped with forks can lift it of the back of the truck.

Movable chute...

This model is intended to go with my Bauer BG 40 drilling rig, or the Liebherr LRB 255.

The correct term is swing away lattice fly jib. These can be set at 0 degres as a main boom extension or with a fixed offset, to (usually) 20 or 40 degrees, to assist with radius over a building for instance.

A luffing jib refers to the raising up or down of the lattice fly either by rope and pulleys usually found on the larger mobile cranes and crawlers or by hydraulic cylinders mounted where the fixed offset pendant would be found. This allows the fly jib to "luff" up and down with or without load.

"Luffing crane, a type of crane where the jib, rather than being fixed, can be raised and lowered "

just to make it clear

Actually, we in Holland just call it a Jib as far as I know.
I mentioend it was a luffing jib as I thought this was the correct English name, which it isn't as Marcus has explained. So, first post has been modified accordingley! Smile

Among my new models the past few weeks (got some extra cash!!) are the luffing jib for the AC 500-1, and two Demag AC 155's (which will be here before the weekend I hope).

Two others came today. A Cat 225 from Joal. I'll be using this particular model to modify my Volvo EC 210B into a sheetpiler such as the Volvo EC 240 from Van Heteren BV.

Together with my other new model. A Mecalac 714MW from Conrad. I was looking for this model for a while, so I was pretty happy when I got it free with a new subscription!! Now I just need to get the tracked variant.

Of course it has a quickhitch!!

I've tried something out, and the quickhitch fits perfectly on the Liebherr R 924 Compact. I'll post some photo's of this tomorrow. Of course the quickhitch can be easily put back on the Mecalac as well! Best of both worlds.

Just got this baby in yesterday! The new Iveco Strator 6x4 with Nooteboom EURO-78-04(V) lowloader "All Blacks" edition. Beautiful new model from WSI, and much cheaper than the other liveries!!

Wonderful tribal decoration on the truck...

Metallic rims...

Lowloader is extendable (Here it is loaded with the WSI Ytong blocks and stone pallets)...

Excellent details on the rear of the lowloader such as a warning sing and lights.

With my R 924 Compact as a load...

Details (detachable) gooseneck...

And the rear of the Strator...

All I need now is a matching load. Not just any machine of maximum 43 metric tons transportweight, but also a matching livery. Perhaps something like the Liebherr L 586 2+2 wheelloader like the one at Bauma '07...

More new models... The WSI loads.

Pallets with bricks...

YTONG blocks...

That Iveco lowloader is one bad piece that I got to have. What European dealer is carrying this as our two distributors do not seem to be carrying this yet. Where did you get this and how much was it? Thanks

You should have a PM about the Iveco. The base truck (White version) is € 42 euro's ($ 66.15 USD), the base truck "All Blacks" version is € 52,50 ($ 82.70 USD), the All Blacks version with closed trailer or the All Blacks version with the Nooteboom EURO-lowloader is € 96 euro's ($ 151.25 USD).

They are available at: Bemo models

Not as big as our host DHS Diecast, but a good shop anyway, especially for European style models (Tekno / WSI) and parts.

Remko,
that is a sweet looking truck! I would be ordering one myself if I could afford it Smile

Do you know if it is possible to buy just a standard 2 or 3 axle flat bed? Would like to find them for hauling lattice boom sections and stuff. I don't seem to be able to find them.

I managed to get some off of EBay a few years back. They were from Corgi set ups I think. They just had the loads removed and were selling seperatly. There may be some on there.

I keep seeing all these lowboys being introduced yet see no one providing the flat beds....I guess its just a matter of time..certainly hope so anyway.

I got a few new models today at the show. Only two actually, as well as some very useful parts.

The new models were a Nooteboom Pendel-X 5-axle lowloader with two axle jeepdolly, which has a few defects, but nothing problematic. Needless to say that because of the missing parts (just a couple of lights, which are easily replacable) I got a pretty good deal on the model. Tractor will be a Iveco Strator 8x4, which I have yet to start on.

The other new model is much more remarkable. It's a Bomag MPH 125 Recycler. Wonderful model, with excuisite detail and very lightweight as well!!

On my Tekno Goldhofer lowloader with Volvo FH16 6x4 from WSI.

Cool feature, the cab can be lowered for easy transportation!

Front...

Rear...

Cab up...

Underside...

I got it from a German Dealer at the Houten show today. Price was € 45 euro ($ 71 USD).

I haven't gotten around of making any photo's of the MWT's yet, but in the mean time I did get a couple of new models.

Last friday I got this together with the 5-axle Nooteboom ballasttrailer...

It's the new Lion Toys D-Tec container trailer. Just the trailer plus containers is actually pretty cheap, around € 45 euro's ($ 71 USD). I didn't get a Lion tractor, but a WSI tractor instead. A Daf XF 105 SuperSpaceCab 6x2 to be exact. With some very minor modifications the trailer fits perfectly.

In Roadtrain layout...

Without containers...

Components from the rear...

And from the front...

Lot's of combinations are possible, including tag trailers...

Or a standard tractor trailer...

Daf XF 105 SSC 6x2 from WSI...

Also from WSI, the Volvo FH Globetrotter 8x4...

Last, a Liebherr LTM 1090 mobile crane. Nice model, and something I've been looking for for some time now.

I got these in Tuesday, the new Liebherr service van from Siku.
Gotta love this model!!

Front and rear doors as well as the sliding door at the right side open...

A nice challenge for the avid modeler, building an interieur for the van! Tool cabinets, a worktable, the works...

Compared to my Demag AC 40 and Unimog tipper from Cursor (1/43rd I think, haven't found any conclusive data yet)...
