Spotted a large boom and went to investigate. Look what I found

It looks like a Liebherr LG1550 they were working so I could not get to the serial plate wherever it is on this crane. I will try to get more pics on Saturday

I think it is the bank of america building. I do not drive over this way alot, I want to say if you take Oaklawn under I35 and go left you travel in front of the building where the crane is set up. They are replacing the a/c handlers. This crane is set up in a fly path out of Dallas so I think that is why they have it set up with a short boom long jib.
Samson is the name of the crane ,not a sister company. You can see it in one of the pics on the underhousing of the crane.

Jason, AWESOME PICTURES! I've been waiting to see that beast for a looong time!

The type plate is always located on the front of the operators cab, if you look at the 2nd picture i believe you can see it below the window on the cab.

Maxim bought out a great company called "Husky Crane & Rigging" The cranes, trucks, forklifts etc.. still floating around Green & black. Maxim buys the rigs, but doesn't bother painting.

It's an old Anthony Crane rig..

I believe it's one of only 4 LG-1550's in the united states..

I also believe it's the only LTM-1800 also in the united states.. Christian MAY be able to correct me on that one.

Also, the luffer on the LG-1550 looks a little odd. It looks more like it belongs on a LTM-1500. Any reason for that?

You are one lucky .. Jason.. you are right it's not everyday in the US that you get to see a beast like that. Take as many pictures as you can, I think i know of a repaint of a scrumptious lg-1550 when they come out.

4 LG1550 in the US? who is supposed to own the other ones?

known to me in North America: Northern Cranes in Canada has one (see my signature *sigh*)

Philipps in Houston had a LTM1800

Eseasa in Mexico still owns his LTM1800

Does Anthony, now Maxim, really own the telescopic boom for this? (please ask the operator!)

as for the jib, well its simply the light jib, that can also be bolted to a LTM1800 boom head. thats the whole idea of the system. the LG1550 can also receive the heavy jib

and Hummer, you are aware, that the LG1550 model coming out from YCC is the new version... with new cab etc? not this version with the old cab ...
