Thanks for sharing Tim,Applause Applause

I have to say I didn't like the looks of the new F-series haul trucks at first, but they are starting to grow on me.

regards,
Jim

I am really impressed by that first 793F.But I have already have seen that D11T CD picture. It is at Cat.com in the product section in track-type tractors. You can get the D11T brochure via the internet at the website. One thing about this D11T picture compared the earlier ones is that the 2 mufflers are further back closer to the fron of the cab like the D10T.Any pictures of the 795 yet? When will the 793F and the 795 be released.

Nice looking stuff. Is it me or is the grill cover of the 793F significantly smaller than on the other 793 trucks????? I wish they still had the model number on the front of the trucks and had a bigger model number on the sides of the D11T's. That is just my preferrence as far as looks go though - nothing really functional about that.

The 793F grille looks about the same - I think the rearranged airboxes and sheetmetal work just make it look smaller in comparison. My only gripe on it is the grease canister on the boarding (secondar egress) platform - easier service, but something that some MSHA inspector will eventually declare to be a slip/fall hazard (anyone ever seen one that didn't leak grease everywhere?).

My number one gripe with the D11T is that they didn't learn from the biggest (non powertrain) mistake on the D10T - bigger doors without adding bigger catwalks. There's not a heck of a lot of room there, and it's EASY to get off balance. I'm also not a fan of the stacks drawn right up to the cab - you never really miss crossing from one side to the other over the hood until you can't do it anymore.

Wow, the 793F looks sooooooooooooo nice!!! Thanks for posting Tim. Posts like this really push up the qualitiy of the forum again.

I saw that the new 785D has no Acert-engine. Anybody know the reason why?
Will there be bigger Acert-engines than the C32 in the future?

I wonder if it were anywhere feasible to run the exhaust under the deck and then up along side the rops
on either side of the cab.....with some decent redesigning required....dumb idea or good?

As usual Tim, your pictures are fantastic!! Thanks for sharing them. I really like the looks of the bigger trucks and wish they had gone that same direction with the 773F, 775F, and 777F trucks.

I could not say it better myself. Talking about the numbers of the D11T, have you seen the numbers of the 993K and the new design of the 994F? The numbers are so small that it looks silly! I liked the older stile of numbers like the 992G/994D had!

As usually Tim T, really nice pics! Applause

All F series trucks 785 and up will be C-175 powered, so yes the 793F in the pics are C-175 16 powered. Will be a C-175 12 in the 785,789 & 994 for the future, 16 in the 93 and 20 in the 95 & 97.
