Cool pictures, thanks for sharing. Looks to be quite a few of them there, gray body with black outriggers, gray body with dark gray outriggers and black body, black outriggers. Also interesting to note that the cranes in the 5th photo down are numbered #33 and #34. What is that in the background of the 3rd photo down? Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

The big yellow thing is the Y-guying for the boom. It's just folded down for transport.
The whole boom stands on it's outriggers. If it's the 100 meter boom it weighs 102,7 mectric ton inclusive outriggers and Y-guying.
Download the brochure from Liebherr's website, and you can see how the boom is transported and mounted on the crane.
It will be interesting to see, how the various operators will transport the boom. Van Marwijk will use a 4 axle DAF and a 7 axle counterweight trailer and Mammoet will use a 4 axle tractor and the 7 axle dolly from the Mega Windmill Trailer from Nooteboom for their 3 LTM11200-9.1s.

Andy its not a question of IF..... its a question of WHEN it will become a scale model. just dont know when its going to be released, i believe sometime next year. either thats their primer colors or that looks like a Grohmann crane to me possibly, i know Mammoet will come out with this model im sure but it would be nice to see a ROXU livery or a Grohmann livery, something outside the usual Liebherr yellow and typical Mammoet model

You can then have a model for each of the companies that own one!! Not to mention the truck and trailor for the boom But then a YCC model would be truly equisite!! Paul R

Rowan. The numbers on the cranes that are on the test field are numbered for ease of communication. Just like multiple cranes on a job site always have numbers. Makes it easier to get in contact with the operator and such.

Manitowoc 16000 wrote:Found these on another site thing... any idea what companies they are? is it grhomann? the light grey is primer (i.e. cab) . the dark grey is already finish paint (i.e. outriggers and rims) the dark grey is liebherr standard grey. with the yellow the crane appears to get on the cab this could be anyones machine... maybe Al Faris...

looks abit like the grey that are on the Mercedes cars. Maybe they try to disguise it as a Mercedes car so nobody will know it is acually a mobile crane? ;)
