Seen the machine before but not from some of those angles!! Thanks for posting Rowan. I wonder why they had to widen the frame because a 3512 and 3508 is the same width. Do you reackon the cooler package on the roof looks a bit like a Loader cooler group high mounted and turned around the other way!

Nice Pics Rowan.
Weird looking with the coolers on the roof.
Front end of a D11 is pretty tight. Even tighter with a 3512 in there!
With some fancy Trickery you could squeeze 1300Hp out of a 3508.

That Dozer is crazy lookin but i like it. 1300hp thats awesome but would you really need that kind of power for such a job? Do you think thats a little over kill? All in all its awesome and would like to see it in action.

If I remember correctly it seems like he jacks the power up and beefs the transmission so it can pull the plow in second gear and get a lot more production.

From what i know he adds about 12 inches to the frame at the front. He currently uses a 785 T/C so has the lock up feature and the trans F/D are std. Even though the HP is up significantly the duty cycle and load on the powertrain is of a way more constant than say a dozer with the continual forward/reverse and the corresponding shock loads. Coolers on top do take away from the look of it a bit but i am sure looks ranked down the list quite a way when he was designing it for the unique task at hand. I have heard he also had another machine, maybe a D10 with a KTA-38 Cummins and there was also talk of another D11, this time with 3516 power!!! Although i would think the squeeze factor alone may kill that project but never let it be said us Assies won,t try anything out!

Have to agree with you q, some people who enter this forum believe it is their god given right to impose there opinions and values on everybody else. There is ALWAYS the choice to page over any topic and view the next article. Some people do not let this forum rule their lives, therefore people are reviewing past posts all the time. Some one brings something from the past forward and comments on that article is NORMAL. Not everything in life comes on your dinner plate handed to you by your mother. Also can everbody leave those people alone who have been banned for previous indesresions, get on with life, you ONLY get one go at it make the most of it you can in a positive manner.
