Just a thought - did the driver of the snow covered truck leave his 'mark' on the front tyre and melt the snow?

Lashlander They are mixed bag of locations USA, QLD and NSW. Some I took, some I stole and some mates sent to me!
Rossco it realy depends on the surface area you are exposing! At that temperature I believe my exposure would be minimal!

Can anyone notice anything really unique abot that D11 in an Australian mine?

Gavin,
no safety ladders stuck on it or is it the extended wings on the blade protecting the tilt cylinders, I 've only seen a D11 in person a couple of times so if its really subtle then I 've had it, merry Christmas.

Yep you guys nailed it, it is funny how metalifferous mines seem to put bare minimum safety stuff on very similar to contract miners yet coal miners are over the top down here. You can see the 10T is from Emeco who are a big rental crowd and that machine could be in coal next week so they have the rails. The one thing here is that this site is so hard on gear the handrails just turn into a maintenance item and when you have remote gold mines with no other mines around the trend to be like sheep and follow the others is a lot less entrenched, unlike the coal mines.
The problem with different coloured cylinders etc is that parts exchange paint them yellow and some sites have black so you get what you get and usually PEX cylinders are going on in a hurry to get it going and that is how it stays.

Thought I might share some dodgy pics of 10 years of Field Service seem as I haven't been at work for 2 weeks to get some new carnage!!!!Tell me what you think??? This is the result of a head on between 2x 793 (one loaded and one not) Big time frame repairs!!  Demag H685 as it arrived on site from the wharf!  250 Tonne float for recovering dead Dirt Taxi's  P&H 5700 from Hunter Valley No1  Komatsu D575 with a dead HEART!  Me being a KNOB on a Dresser Spindle  Going for a NANA nap will put some more up later!!!!!!!!

Is the Demag shovel you have the picture posted of an H655 or an H485? I know it isn't an H685, since there was only one built, and it's up here. A bit trivial really, since they were all derivatives of the same machine with different numbers.

Brian I am assuming if you are correct it must be a H655! It has 2x 3516 ("A" motors with electronic option) and not long after they were brought they were rebadged PC8000!! Sorry for the labeling OOOOps! If my memory serves me correctly at the time we were told there was 6 of these machines made! 2x where I hide, 3x at the Stupid Pit in Kalgoolie and 1x turned into a dredge???

Back Again!!!!! Bored yet???? PC-1600 did its contract and sold off to QLD  992C we did a heart transplant out at a cotton gin! Was used for loading 40 Foot sea containers full of cotton seed onto a train.  PM service on a 160T digger 100 KM from the shop out of the back of a Navara Ute!! Those were the days!  D475 lunched a Trans/T.C. at a very io-opportune time!  Old School Euclid R85 that a contractor brought 10x for about $10000 each! What a challenge!  Flotilla of 657B that were very unloved but still did the job!
