So by this point I've told so many people that i can't call it a secret anymore, so might as well make it public knowledge. I have a new line of LaBounty demolition shears prototyped and ready to go into production as soon as finances allow, (once I get my tax refunds back) so here are some photos of my 3D CAD designed prototypes, (11) different sized 1:50 scale LaBounty MSD IV series shears. These will be offered as either second member (Boom mount) or Third member (stick mount) they will all rotate, and fully function, Initially I plan to produce (3) of the (11) sizes, the first size (MSD 7R) will fit mini excavators as a second member and 8-10 ton machines as a third member the second size (MSD3000R-SL)will fit 40-45 ton machines as a second member and 75-80 ton machines as a third member and the third size (MSD 9500R-SL)in this run will fit 110 ton machines as a second member. Now, to answer the questions that will no doubt flood my inbox: these will be cast in metalNo, I do not have a final price yetI intend to have the first pieces ready in mid-marchthese will sold as finished models only, and will be painted, assembled and decaled, Eric W. Eric, you can count us in for at least 5 sets (maybe more since I buy for 2 more collectors plus myself !!), they will be wonderfull adds to our demo fleet !!! Please keep our names and post the final product and prices when ready to sell on the forum so we can settle the deal... Companies do a lot of nice models these days but what is missing is implements to go with them, like thumbs (Ken Wheeler is already making some nice ones along with Genesis grapples, we are waiting for some as I write these lines), root rakes, compactor plates and hammers just to name a few... So they should make their models with quick couplers to help us out install these future implements... Just my thoughts, Mr Rabb !!! Pat

Those look great. Always good to see high-quality, custom models.
I am disappointed that you won't be selling just the shears for those of us who'd like to customize models ourselves.

From what I read in his post Eric is selling just the shears. The only thing is, he's selling them as a finished product. This means you do not assemble, paint, and decal the shears themselves. From talking to Eric, they will show up, ready to go on your machine, all you need to do is remove the stick, or bucket depending on how you plan on mounting them. Eric, you hit one out of the park on these, I feel privileged that I saw your prototype a few months ago. Cant wait to see whets coming next. Ill contact you after my taxes are done in regard to what we talked about.

Bob I know of a guy in this very thread, that made a comment in the past about donating plasma for model cash, I almost wonder if he doesnt have an addiction to diecast.
