I know Creeper must have some somewhere!Wink

If anyone has any of the Gerosa Mack M-75 please post them up. Me and another forum member had a nice discussion about this unit and it is possible to model one in 1/87 with the help of a friend who has the parts.

Thanks, Joe

Surprised Gary a.k.a. "The Creeper" has not posted anything on this truck yet. I know for sure he has pictures of it. Gary and his father both worked for them and he has pictures of just about everything they ever owned. This truck made it into Marino's fleet...they had it at the Brooklyn CT antique truck show one year right after they took over Gerosa.

As far as I know, sometime after that show, this truck wound up in the Mashburn fleet in Texas, along with the M100 from Hoffman and the M75 from Corbett Rigging. The M100 now resides in Queens, NY, and the M75 from Corbett made it back this way, working for Bechtel at a power plant project south of Albany on the Hudson River. No idea what happened to it after that, and even less of an idea of where the Gerosa M75 wound up.

Gerosa also had an M45SX, which was later number 230 in Hallamore's fleet alongside another M45SX, number 330, originally owned by Standard Container of Keasbey, NJ. Don't know if they still own either of these trucks or if they have been sold off like alot of their older equipment has been lately.

Regards,

John Pearson

Until Gary returns from hiatus, here is a scan from the Richie Bros. auction brochure for when they sold off the (4) M-series Macks from Mashburn. This truck, number 4, aka "Double Tuff" should in fact be the ex Gerosa M75SX. The ladder arrangement is almost identical to Gerosa's M45 and if I had a picture of both I would be able to tell for sure. Please excuse Richie Brother's usual poor captioning.

Corbett's M75SX did not have ladders, and this truck was #3 I believe, and was nicknamed "Double Ugly". Bechtel later operated this truck and I think they renumbered it to #93. This truck was nicknamed "Geronimo" when Corbett operated it. Photo from Hank's Truck Pictures site.

Hoffman's M100SX became Mashburn # 2, and I believe it was nicknamed "Tuff-E-Nuff". This truck is now owned by Pile & Foundation Contractors, Far Rockaway, NY.

That last pic is awesome, one I have never seen before.
Hey, Joe and Andy, what is Ralph's weak point? We need to find it and bribe him to do a few of the M100s. Drool.

I'm trying to get him to do an M45. Would look great in Hallamore colors!

Last time I talked to him he says he's thinkjg of Doug an M25 1st. But he's got a ton of projects on his plate right now.

As far as I know the two Mack M75 SX from Gerosa went to Mashburn in Childress TX. Mashburn sold out to Lonestar Transportation in Abilene TX. I was told the two Macks went to Lonestar. Lonestar sold their super heavy haul division to Emmit Heavy Haul of Oregon and have been told by a friend of mine who does some hauling for Emmit that the two M75s belong to Emmit now. I have some pics that I will scan and post. I have two pics when the M75 was sitting in Gerosa's yard one week before it was hauled off. The one pic I'm posting is of the rear end of the M75 sitting in Gerosa's yard.

2nd photo appears to be taken at Marino's yard in Middletown, CT, after the Marino takeover of Gerosa. Definitely not taken in the Bronx!

I have heard various accounts from different people on this topic, but I was fairly certain that Gerosa only had one M75SX and one M45SX. Interestingly, both trucks appeared to have been numbered "300" at one time or another. Not sure what the story was behind that. The M75SX in the top photo is clearly the same truck as Mashburn #4, although it appears as though the winch has been removed, along with the grille guard.

Ladders, grab irons, air horns, mirror brackets, dual windshield wipers, lighting arrangement are all the same.

Here is a photo from Hanks Truck Pictures of Gerosa's M45, from Mark Simiele's collection. This truck is now Hallamore #230.

Thanks for those pictures. I think that's the 1st picture I've seen of the rear or that truck.
