I recieved a Cat 769 flyer from CCM showing a D10 open cab with a push block and and a D10 closed cab with blade and ripper as upcoming models. The flyer had a couple small preproduction photos of tooling models.

I'm sure DHS will be carrying them.

The flyer photos show one big stack. Sorry I am not able to post the flyer.

The photos are very small as the flyer is focused on the 769 haul truck. The blade appears to be a semi U not a U blade.

Back in the day of this model D10 the blade designations were 10S, 10U and 10C which stood for straight, universal and cushion. Nowadays the straight blade is referred to as a semi-universal or SU blade and the other designations have remained the same.

I would like to think this new CCM machine will have the 10S blade and SS ripper which was the most common spec for D10,s leaving the factory back in the day but i will be happy with whatever blade it has.

As you can bet i am a very happy camper about this model and the cushion blade equipped machine aswell is a pleasent surprise, can,t wait for them and what ever else comes up in this 1:48 series. CCM are really hitting the mark on this i feel.

Here some pic's from the D10.
I have 85 photo's from the introduction on this dozer and put them on a CD
Caterpillar announced the D10 dozer project in 1977 thy showed the press a preproduction machine the D10X.
On the CD tads here for action are 6 press photos and 79 photos out of Caterpillars training presentation.
Lots of the photos cover de D10X prototype machine’s.
If interested get me a mail.

I thought the 769 was a very well-done model, so I'm looking forward to both the 245s and D10s. The only (minor) drawback of the old Conrad models were the rubber tracks. I'm assuming the CCM versions have metal tracks and probably much better detail. Think

Those 245,s certainly look the business and i would have to say looking at the D10 pics that blade on the regular machine looks for all intents and purposes to be an "S" blade to me, either way it is a great choice of model to make and the pushcat is gunna need something big and devlish in front of it!

I would think also that some of these models that are getting done will lend themselves to upgrades in the future just like the real deals ie D10 twinstack version, 988 to a compactor or wheel dozer etc. but i am sure the focus is to first get the primary machines right and completed and for that we can not be appreciative enough i think, thanks for this series CCM and the people involved.

Now what that could be, that's the $666 question. "Devilish"...I like the way you think. Wink

PS... still hoping to see the D9H down the road sometime!!!
