The night shift 11PM-6AM over the course of three nights.
Removal of a old ramp from the Triboro Bridge to the Willis Ave Bridge.
The final piece weighed in at 52 tons.

The city of New York would only grant lane closures for 15 minutes at a time.

Instead of cutting the beams with a torch they melted the steel almost instantly with a thermic lance.

WOW, Finally I get to see some pics of it and the rest of the machines there.Very nice pics.When I was on the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge I saw the 7550 and that was about 2 weeks agoTeeth

Those are some great night pics Stephen. Are you using any post editing software or is that pretty much the result with existing lighting? Of course, ANY pic of a NYC bridge is a good pic... Cool

No post editing software was used. I did, however, adjust my white balance for existing conditions by taking a series of samples of the existing ambient light until I found the right one that fit the feel I want. What I used to have to do in the past was shoot with a film that was great for night shooting, Fuji NHG 800 did the trick, then in the color darkroom I would adjust the balance of all the light.
