Excellent clear shots and great rigs JasonSmiley. It never ceases to amaze me but just the chassis, engine and axles are a big heavy haulage load in themselves.

If you have any assembly pictures please post, especially as your pics are so good!.

Interesting pics!
Is this a PowerEdge-797B? It looks like it, because it says Cat on the Front and not on the side.

Hummer13

The Trailer and Dolly is manufactured by Drake Trailers Australia.

The combination consists of -

2 x KW T904

Drake 2 x 8 Dolly [2 axles with 8 tyres on each axle]

13 Axle Platform Trailer made up of -

Drake 8 x 8 Platform Trailer [8 axles with 8 tyres per axle]
Drake 2 x 8 Platform Trailer [2 axles with 8 tyres per axle] Also called a 'clip on'
Drake 3 x 9 Platform Trailer [3 axles with 8 tyres per axle] Also called a 'clip on'

In total with 2 Prime Movers, 2 Axle Dolly, 13 Axle Platform Trailer and load the
Gross Combination Mass was 247.50 tonnes.

In addition to this when the Unit went up the Eton Range is had an additional 3 Prime
Mover hitched on for the pull / push up the range taking the total mass to just under
300.00 tonnes.

Fuel burn for the Prime Movers alone when they were working on this was around
1 gallon of diesel per about 1.2 miles travelled, each......

Hope this helps some!!

AWESOME photos!! Well done!!

I love the huge kangaroo catchers on Aussie rigs...

Thats one nice Kenworth!! Love the forward mounted air cleaner scoops and the fact that the nose is elevated.

looks like that 797 was left around my neighbourhood for a night, wheels, skip, all robbed by teens, only difference is it hasn't been burnt out

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Hi Jason,

Awesome photos!! Where was the 797B going to?

I hope that TWH produces a trailer like this also with a pull-push arrangement.

Please post more of your oversized moves. These are great!!

Just another heavy haul day downunder really, great shots. There are some real options with the upcoming drake trailer/KW primover model but they really have to ditch that Cummins engine it is supposed to be coming out with!!!

Yeah Tim i saw that hence my little dig at the Cummins!! But what else would you have moving 97,s!!

Rhino the only mines 797 are in are maybe 3 of the BMA mines in queensland and Anglo,s Dawson mine, might be Goonyella, Blackwater and Saraji.

The 797F will turn up here eventually as the B will be superseeded late this year i believe, if ODX ends up going ahead with there original intentions that will be over 140 797 at 1 site!!!!
