The man in the yellow van from DHL appeared outside my door a little while ago with another big box of goodies! Time to start all over again now, this time with the tracked version of the big blue monster!!

Another big heavy box

More trays full of shiney blue and grey parts

A few pics of the crane body and tracks

More to come later, enjoy.

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Great links there but I am still holding out Speak to the hand

Problem is that is never ending. If you have the LG and/or the LR then you have to have an upper structure carrier at least, not to mention the ballast carriers and trucks and trailors for all the other parts!! Wink

Paul if you want them you must hire them out from O'Felbermayr.ie Wink I dont think you'll be holding out for much longer somehow, you'll crumble to temptation yet!!

MammoetMan the Actros SLT is on order so hopefully it'll be here as soon as its released Smile

Bruce2 I think i do have the blue virus, i love the felbermayr livery. I am also a fan of red and black but i think the blue is taking over!

Gus, it'll be a long time before i get married but i think thats about it for this year now anyway, time to start saving again Think Oh and Graham, thanks for the links great pics there!

hey,if the other half finds out how much you've spent on the two 1750's and the merc actros,it could be a longer time than you think before you're getting married Teeth Teeth Teeth

i want that LG1750 sooooo bad!!!!,you remember when you were 6 and it was december 1st,and it took sooo damn long for the 25th to come, this is how i feel

i'd love to see more blue models coming out in the future too,an LTM200 would be a sweet crane too

I'm now blue with envy Sad Teeth

You won't be disappointed.
In fact, I use the 1750 as sort of a "value barometer" when pricing E-Bay or retail models. When a dumptruck, excavator, tractor or whatever starts creeping up toward the $200 - $500 range, I always ask myself, "Am I really getting my money's worth here? Look what I got with the 1750 for (roughly) $800 - boom, jib, counterweights, tracks...the list goes on. That is a LOT of "stuff" to play with. Let's see - a dump truck with a bed that tilts up and down...not much to play with there..."
Granted, the rarity of some items comes into play, but generally this comparison always clears my head and prevents expensive mistakes - particularly on E-Bay...
Confused Cool

Assembly was going along nicely until i got to the pendant bar stage and realized that conrad hadn't included the pins for joining the pendants due to the fact that the older LR's used the interlocking pendant system and not the pinned system. =>:-< Oh well, we'll just have to wait for a little delivery of parts from Germany now before going any further. Here's a few more pics for now...

And finally for now, all the machinary is parked up and the men gone home while they await the parts delivery...

Thanks for looking,

Noel.

You really don't know when to give up! I wished I had skipped over this topic now................Whistle

Great looking models you have there. Pity about the pendants but it is not the end of the world.

Pendants yes, and the track pads, Conrad just lifted these from the CC8800.

That's been a gripe of mine since this model was first introduced, otherwise a great model.

Come on YCC please make the correct track pads for us as an extra for this model.

Ray....

You could replace the tracks with the tracks from a Demag CC2000 from ZON models.

Thanks Jan,

I have looked at that option in the past, but unfortunately the ZON track pads are plastic.

That's a fine collection. I love the livery. I am glad to see they are offering the Lr in something other than yellow. It's too bad it is not offered in the FAGIOLI livery that was posted a while back. That was also a fine looking model. Your's is damn fine though. Congrats.
