Does'nt look like too much damage.
Get a RTC 50Ton, pick up the counterweights and ship the crane back to headquarters.

Well ...can never have to much in the way of mats under a crane ..

Thinking though ..the ground looks alot wet .....the water may have undermined the mats ..turned gravel to goo

Edit..
Second look...
They may have tried traversing a recent excavation ..

Other than the counterweights doin a number on the engine compartment, doesn't look that bad.I'm sure it has to be looked at structually.

no ..it dosent look that bad ...

but now the plan to get the crane back down and level ...and still be able to get the boom up then down ...
more so ..at that degree the engine may not even start ...if it's even capable of running

this is an adventure all its own ..

looks like they should have bought the LR11351 model Teeth Teeth

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

As not to offend my brethren to the south ...but
Man ...sandblast the parts before the Tremclad goes on ...the paint sucks... on Grove and Terex truck mounts ...

The epoxy ,airliner paint ..what ever it is used on the European Cranes is far superior

great post obiously nothing to do with the quality of the crane
more like the quality of the ground.

You'd wonder as cranes are getting bigger and bigger every year, are they taking into consideration the ground that these cranes are going to be operating on. There must be a limit somewhere, any geotechnical experts on here to comment?

I have my doudts that anyone was even in the seat.. looks like wet ground and it just gave in under the mats. It must have gone over slowly too. That boom point is still in pretty good condition.Great Pics!!

That is a good one!!!!! I reckon ground has gone while raising the boom. As for damage, you find there is alot more than meets the eye, there will be cracked welds everywhere and the slew ring will have been seriously stressed!!!! would have loved to have seen it go...it would have started slow and then T.I.M.B.E.R!!!!!!!
