A while back I started converting my CC8800. First I started off with this piece: Then I worked on the derrick mast and the flying bridle seen here: Along the way I did the brackets for the main head: And adding pendant lines to finish it all off: Everything still has to be painted and re-rigged, but you get the idea what its supposed to look like. Thanks for looking Michael

That is really sweet! Top notch work from a top notch craftsman! I like the realistic look of the sway in the line and pendants from the derrick to the mast. That is so cool. Now here is what you do. Break it all down, put it in a box and send to me for some color, I am thinking red and black!! They really look much better in that rater than that goofy old white! So just send it over! Oh and make sure you include an extra set of all your work as I may need to practice on it before I paint yours...............................

Mike, beautiful work. Do you think you could post a couple of close up photos of the pieces on the crane? Thanks

Thanks all for the compliments!
The bottle is there to 'assist' in soldering the many pieces of pendant lines together. Man, that takes some time and patience to do! I had was 28 pieces of 12m pendant lines to do recently.
BobM...its getting painted white for now, but I wonder what the setup would look like in red and black? Get on the list, its growing quick!

Some people have package day, but for me it's been package week. A delivery everyday so far this week! One of my packages was a LR1750 main boom section and a hat from member JSW57. My brass parts took a little road trip to fellow forum member Bigcranes to the paintbooth and here's what came back! Now the next few days will be re-rigging this monster! I'm addind in three extra main boom sections also! Here is a photo Mark emailed me of his painted luffing jib arm. This setup is going to be for a fixed jib. Thanks for looking! Michael

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Nice looking parts your got there Michael. Mark's paint job looks great. That bottle of Jack will assist with your patience when rigging that bad boy. Also thanks for the free advertisement with that hat display. Look forward to seeing it all rigged up, and don't skip any reeving on that 40 part hook block buddy! Better pick up another bottle before you start it. Just like this. Jeff
