Hopefully this is not too off topic, for many years I built 1/25 scale trucks. That hobby ended in 1999-00 and all the models and parts collections got put into an attic to disintergrateSad . I wish I had done something different with them, but at the time I did not have too many options. Enough of that, this model was one of the last I built and faired the best because it never made it to the attic just fell to pieces in a box in a closet. Well I decided to rebuild her, the K100C Flat top has always been one of my favorite trucks and this one is very customized. The Hiab crane was a wonderful resin and photo-etched kit made by a UK company called Kit Form Servises, they made top shelf rig accessories in the 90's. The crane is fully plumbed and functional, I thought I would share some pictures of the current progress. There are a few parts that never were made, fenders and mud gaurds for the 2nd steer axle, a rear light bar, and mainly the heavy flat trailer that was half-built when shelved. Anyway this truck will now get a proper display built once the trailer is complete.
Enjoy, comments welcome
Mark

Thanks for looking

Thanks for the compliments guys, I simply don't have the time now but I have about 6 of my nicer trucks that I am going to save. I had another K100C I built when I was very young that is not nearly as nice that I will strip down completely to rebuild as some sort of heavy haul monster. But before I get ahead of myself, I am going to finish the trailer for this K100 this fall!

Wow, that's a beast of a truck! i've always loved those twin steer bullnose KW's. Thanks for sharing! I'm always on the lookout for a 1:25th scale dolly / lowboy trailer setup to haul my CAT 375. Do you know of any or have any links to websites that may be able to help?

Cheers,
Rowan.

Terrific piece of work. With larger scales comes the opportunity for serious detail work. Very nice! Applause

Thanks again for the compliments! I had started a heavy trailer for it and I am going to get to work on that in the near future. As it was left it is just a frame and rear suspension, so first I have to remember where the parts are?Think

Outstanding! That is a beast of a truck-what a great concept. And talk about on topic, its about as on topic as it gets. You are here by requested to post as many pictures as you have of your models!

That's freakin insane looking.. Looks like a battle ship. I love cabovers and have about 30, but yours is indeed the baddest to the bone. Has anyone ever seen a truck configuration like this? Keep em coming. CAW
