The scale is 1:50, its total length is 44,5 cm or 17,52 inches

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

That is a fantastic model. Congratulations for the scratch build. How many hours do you have into it? Do you own your own bench top CNC machine? I for one would love to see some of the build pictures. Thanks a lot for posting it here.

Thanks for your replies.
@Bob, it took me approx. 300 hours to make all the drawings, cnc-programs and the building of the shown prototype. Now I'm going to make this model on order and I hope to need approx. 60-70 hours to build one. 99 % of the parts are made on my bench top cnc-machine.
I did not make any photographs during the building process, but can make some when I'm building the first Sarens-model.
Greetings Daniel

Amazing stuff! Would be great to see it complete with its boom. On a different point, do Gottwald still exist as a manufacturer of road cranes? I could not find any reference except for port cranes. For those of you that wanted to see some pictures during construction. Unpainted upperstructure and sarens-blue painted chassis. Sorry for the bad picture quality, these were taken with my handy... Daniel ![](http://666kb.com/i/bco8tmuo46l1uifc2.jpg) ![](http://666kb.com/i/bco8uazh5jobj1o9u.jpg)
