Hey guys,

This is the second part of the job following on from the evap pond in the previous post. Reopen the exsisting decline for the underground mine and add a lift to the exsisting tails dam. The dam was built in 2 stages, 1st was to lay in the Zone 1 material - which consisted of mainly overburden and rock, the Zone 2 was to lay in tails from the old dam on the inside of the Zone 1 material. So really to put it simply built 2 walls with 2 to 1 batters and butt them up against each other. Rock to hold the weight of the wall up and tails to seal the dam so as not to line it. Enjoy.

Loading out the first of the Zone 1 material, dozers pushed up enought for the digger to load out

A bit off course

It's looking like one bear of a job though with those last two pics.

Great photos!
