Well since I was posting my pics I will add these I took a few weeks ago, I did a nice walk around this is a big machine. And you all know my luck with security they showed up a 70 year ladyd'oh! I just told her I was getting pics of the machine and she was cool with it. Not like she was going to come get me I had the hummer running so I could just jump in and goTeeth

The sun was pretty low in the sky still so the shades were not playing in my favor

Hope you enjoy
Jason

No, a 572 is based on a D-7. Second number is the crawler the pipelayer is based on. A 583 is based on a D-8

That may work in this case, but it doesn't quite work in all cases. A 589 isn't based on a D8.

It is going to take a long time before we see some of the old pipelayers retire. I worked on a 572C last winter and what a great chore looking at the Cat legacy DVD's for parts and service info on an old piece of equipment.

Keep it coming. This is a great case for when sidebooms should be used. Overhead lines, well no crane is getting in there, so sidebooms.

Nice shots Jason. Glad the guard didn't go senior on your butt, they may not run fast but they can swing like lightning, LOL!!!!

Oh, did she have a gun??? If she did it was good you didn't get her riled because she would have probably got your knee caps shooting for your head, LOL!!!!
