Great pictures. I love those old 950s. The company my uncle worked for had two of these until the early 90s. He said, they were far better than todays Cat loaders.

I still think that these were the best loaders of their time....I will take a Cat 950 or 966C anyday of the week...you still see alot of contractors around my area who still have these machines...they maybe used for back up loaders, wheel barrows, backfilling spoil piles, landscaping and snow removal machines, etc. but I love the old CAT loaders...I think if I had the money, I would just buy one just to have my own machine...

Nice pictures......The black and white add something special. Those old 950 and 966C were real work horses and certainly impossible to kill...they are'nt like today's "disposable loaders"!!!!! Thanks for sharing. Max.
Cat 245.....Now and Forever I am looking for industrial auction brochures from Ritchie Bros, Miller & Miller, Forke Bros, First Team Auction, Max Rouse, etc from the 70's, 80's and 90's.I am a collector and heavy equipment enthusiast and these pamphlets are loaded with nice pictures of cleaned and freshly painted equipment.Thet don't have much value once the sale is over but they are a great help to me in preserving the memory of machines that are no longer being built. Please, help my hobby by looking in your old storage boxes and file folders for these old auction sale brochures.Your help is much appreciated.
