Gotta be one of the most beautiful models I've ever seen - I will always love the Sarens blue and yellow combo.

And I know EXACTLY what you mean when you say how long it takes to rig - reminds me of my LR1750 which even having owned it for 3 years still took me 7 hours to set up from scratch to completion...all that bleeding reeving!

I use a Canon EOS 20D with a EFS 17-85mm ULS IS lens. I want to get a macro lens one day.

It does look good and yes the reeving is a bitch,you are lucky to have such a large room(looks bigger than my whole flat)I have to take my pic from the next room threw the doorway,

I see you have the ycc 5 ton c/ws and accessories,all in ycc sarens colour which doesn't match nzg sarens,I sent mine back to ycc for repaint to match the model and I'm glad I did looks so much better,
As for the the black version(grohmann) it's a must have,it looks great.

Nice - I assumed you had a dSLR as the pictures are nice and crisp. You must have had it for a while!

I have a Sigma 105mm macro but for models I use either a 50mm or 70-200mm lens; the macro is nice but just "too" close. I recently got a Canon 7D which is primarily for 1080p movies, so I'll see how that goes down!

Yes I've had it a while now Davie. Macro is too close for some model shots but I have other ideas for it Smile

Sounds like you also have a decent camera!

Yes I'd agree with that Zach. I won't buy many luffers but if this one came out, I'd have it.

It finally arrived today and I had hoped to get it fully rigged, but time has not allowed. There were some minor pieces missing or broken (2 pieces) but Chou has already agreed to send them on.

But I have to say that this model is truly incredible! The weight alone is something to behold. Detail is just as you would expect from YCC and I can't wait to get her rigged fully!

As you can see, this is the historic version and there are 2 reasons I chose it:

1. It was the first livery for the AMK1000
2. There are only 90 made. Mine is number 75.

Hopefully later this evening or tomorrow I can complete the build Teeth

Nice pics Paul, i also received my historic version and also chose it for the reasons you did, mine is # 78, but had a few more issues with broken parts, the worst was the cab mount was broke and the cab was laying loose in box Sad

working with the DHS folks to get me the parts.
I have a request, could you post a pic of the tool they sent you to wind the winch please, thanks.
